Houston-based Battle Mountain Gold (TSE) has filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission for a proposed public offering of five million common shares. Goldman, Sachs & Co. will be the lead manager of the offering, and its proceeds will be added to Battle Mountain’s working capital and used for general corporate purposes.
Battle Mountain is engaged in gold and silver mining in the U.S., Australia and Bolivia and in the exploration and acquisition of precious metals.
Shares of the company were trading in Toronto recently at $21.25 in a 52-week range of $15.50-21.63.
