New York-listed Battle Mountain Gold earned US$2 million in the fourth quarter of 1994, compared with a loss of US$400,000 for the same period in the previous year.
This raises net income for the year to US$9.5 million, compared with a loss of US$8.1 million in 1993. The company generated US$243 million in revenue, up 17% from the US$207.3 million reported for 1993.
Total gold production, at 486,000 oz., was above the previous year’s 400,000 oz., while the total operating cost fell to US$200 from US$308.
