Bannerman hires GRD Minproc for Goanikontes feasibility

Australia’s Bannerman Resources (BAN-T, BMN-A) has commissioned GRD Minproc to produce a full feasibility study for the company’s Goanikontes uranium project in Namibia.

GRD Minproc, which has 20 years of experience in Africa, will manage and design the mine, processing plant and infrastructure at the project.

Goanikontes, 80%-owned by Bannerman, sits on a trend southwest of Rio Tinto’s (RTP-N, RIO-L) Rossing uranium mine. The junior hopes tobegin production at Goanikontes by 2011.

The feasibility study is expected to run into the first quarter of 2009. Minproc will manage the study out of the company’s Perth, Australia, office and its African office as well as various contracted consultants.

GRD has worked on over 200 projects and performed 300 feasibility studies in more than 30 countries.
