The latest results from a 14-hole program fill in drilling program, including 44.3 ft of grade 0.15 oz, confirm the grade and width parameters of the A-zone, according to Bakra.
“The core of the zone has been intersected to a vertical depth of 500 ft so far and has a true average width of over 22 ft,” Bakra said.
Located 120 miles northeast of Winnipeg, the 1,500-acre Sannorm adjoins the former San Antonio gold mine which is being evaluated by Rea Gold Corp. (TSE) of Vancouver.
Sannorm is also part of a large land package controlled by the Vancouver-based Homestead group of companies.
As reported (N.M., Feb 20/89), Bakra is earning a 50% interest in Sannorm from privately-owned affiliate Orenada Resources. Both companies are part of the Homestead group.
With drilling scheduled to resume almost immediately, Bakra is calculating ore reserve estimates on the A zone and looking at the feasibility of bringing it into production via open pit or underground mining methods.
