The chairman of the campaign was Wayne Lenton, president of Canada Tungsten and past president of the Mining Association of British Columbia.

Quintette Coal Mining of Tumbler Ridge, B.C., mined their pockets most effectively, donating $45,000 to the cause. A team from Tumbler also produced a 20-minute video in which they interviewed children and parents who had benefitted from the hospital.

Other major donators were Westmin Resources ($27,180), Cominco Ltd. ($23,571), Highland Valley Copper ($21,010) and Cassiar Mining ($20,000).
