Automation symposium (October 13, 1986)

In Sudbury, Ont., on Oct. 15-16 the Ontario Centre for Resource Machinery Technology, in association with several mining and high- tech organizations, will host A Symposium on Applications of Automation in Mining: Present and Future.

This is the first time such a symposium has been organized in Canada. It is designed to bring together all mining and hi-tech operators to assess the status of automation in mining and to help chart its future orientation.
