A member of the legendary Club of Rome global think tank will address the Mineral Outlook luncheon on Monday, March 5. An Australian, Keith Suter is a social commentator and strategic planner whose latest book, published in 2001, is titled In Defence of Globalization. His academic record alone indicates the breadth of Suter’s interests. He has a master’s degree in religious studies and obtained his first PhD in the international law of guerilla warfare. His second doctorate was awarded for his work on the economic and social consequences of the arms race. A renowned speaker and broadcaster, Suter is a senior fellow with the Australian Global Business Network and executive director of National Goals and Directions, a think tank working on Australia’s future. He is a consultant on social policy, community services, and conflict resolution, and chairs the environment committee of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
