Aurizon acquiring additional claims

An option to purchase a 100% interest in claims adjacent to the Sleeping Giant gold mine north of Amos, Que., has been acquired by Aurizon Mines (TSE) from George Venne of Val d’Or, Que. The claims lie in Glandelet, Chaste and Soisson twps. Aurizon may earn its interest through a payment of $50,000 and the issuance of 100,000 shares during a 3-year period. Also, the claims are subject to a 5% net profits royalty interest which may be purchased at any time for $50,000.

Aurizon recently optioned a 50% interest in the Sleeping Giant mine to Cambior (TSE), which may earn its 50% stake by spending $12 million on exploration and development work during the next three years.
