Aur reports decrease in first half income

On schedule to begin production in September at its wholly- owned Kierens project at Val d’Or, Que., Aur Resources (TSE) of Toronto reported a drop in first half earnings.

Aur reported net earnings of $1.36 million or 9.2} per share for the 6-month period ended March 31 compared to $1.68 million or 16} per share in the same period last year.

The company’s income for the recent 6-month period was down $386,934 to $2.46 million.

Debt free, Aur has a working capital position of over $23 million to finance its Val d’Or-area projects.
