Jean Bailly, vice-president of Audrey Resources (TSE), who purchased 5,000 Audrey shares for $2.70 and then sold all of those shares for $3.75 eac h.
Societe Miniere Louvem’s (TSE) Chairman Pierre Gauthier, who exercised an option to purchase 61,000 shares at $4.35 each. He then sold all of tho se shares at $4.40 each. Three weeks later, according to the OSC Bulletin, Gauthier bought 42 5,000 Louvem shares for $2.14 each.
Noranda Inc.’s (TSE) Chairman Alfred Powis, who bought 25,000 Noranda shares at $20.70 each. At the end of August, Powis held 233,895 Noranda shares which at presstime would have fetched over $5.9 million.
President Leon La Prairie of Vedron Ltd. (TSE), who bought 7,500 shares for 21-34 cents . He sold another 5,000 shares for 28-40 cents .
