Athletes to compete for gold in Timmins

The 7th annual Great Porcupine Gold Rush Triathlon will be held July 28 in Timmins, Ont. Contestants will cycle, canoe and run from Kelso to the Porcupine Camp — the trail used by the early prospectors. The 55-km triathlon aside, there will be a 14-km recreational race which takes participants through the historic Timmins mining camp. Winners in each category will receive gold prizes, and each participant is eligible for a draw for 1-oz. of gold.
