Ashanti Goldfield’s 10 years of growth will be discussed by Chief Executive Officer S.E. Jonah at this month’s meeting of the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum, in Toronto.
Topics of the Feb. 15 discussion will include production at Ashanti’s Obuasi mine, which has, since 1985, increased as a result of improvements in safety, mechanization and metallurgical technology.
The meeting will also examine Ashanti’s current and desired property holdings. The company now holds properties in about 12 African countries.
