Results from the second diamond drill hole, DDA-2, show a continuation of high-grade gold and silver mineralization along the western flank of the Amable target. The hole was abandoned at a depth of 162 metres because of mechanical problems. Once these problems are sorted out, drilling will resume at 162 metres and continue to a target depth of 300 metres.
Hole DDA-2 was collared 15 metres north of previously reported hole 89 (193 metres averaging 1.2 grams gold and 33.3 grams silver per tonne) and drilled towards the east at an angle of minus 75. The hole returned 70 metres averaging 5.72 grams gold and 52.34 grams silver per tonne starting at a down-hole depth of 92 metres. Included in this interval was a 16-metre intercept that assayed 9.38 grams gold and 37.69 grams silver starting at a down-hole depth of 118 metres. Another intercept cut 15 metres assaying 9.54 grams gold and 80.27 grams silver, starting at a down-hole depth of 147 metres.
At the Filo Federico target, reverse-circulation hole 112 intersected 142 metres grading 2.63 grams gold and 32.8 grams silver per tonne starting at a down-hole depth of 97 metres. Included in this intercept was a 21-metre interval that assayed 6.42 grams gold and 24.2 grams silver, starting 164 metres down-hole. Hole 112 was collared on the same platform as hole 58 (163 metres grading 0.54 gram gold and 15.58 grams silver, including a 75-metre interval grading 1.07 grams gold and 32.5 grams silver). Hole 112 was drilled towards the south at an angle of minus 75.
Results from hole 112 indicate continuity in the high-grade zone that runs along the northern margin of Filo Federico on the flank of a geophysical resistivity anomaly. As follow-up work, AG is drilling hole 131 toward the west from the same platform.
Hole 114 was collared 48 metres southwest of previously reported hole 107 (74 metres averaging 2.04 grams gold and 18.12 grams silver) and was drilled towards the southeast at minus 75. The hole cut 87 metres averaging 0.76 gram gold and 14.4 grams silver starting at a down-hole depth of 61 metres. Included in this interval was a 25-metre section that averaged 1.32 grams gold and 9.9 grams silver starting at a down-hole depth of 99 metres.
Drilling continues at the western Filo Federico target, as well as on the eastern Filo Federico, Amable, Amable North and the Palito targets. The Palito target lies 1.75 km northwest of the Amable target and 1 km southwest of the Filo Federico target. Hole 127 is the first hole to test the margin of a resistivity geophysical anomaly along the western edge of the Cerro Pelado diatreme.
AG is waiting for assays from 12 reverse-circulation holes drilled on the western Filo Federico target.
Hole DDF1 represents the first diamond drill hole to be collared at Filo Federico. It is currently twinning hole 72 (192 metres grading 1.51 grams gold and 9.94 grams silver, including 47 metres of 4.4 grams gold and 15.09 grams silver).
On the eastern Filo Federico target, hole 123 has been completed and assays are pending. The hole was collared 150 metres northwest of hole 91 (64 metres averaging 0.84 gram gold and 2 grams silver).
At the Amable target, Holes 113 and 116 are completed and assays are pending. The former was collared 50 metres west of hole 92 (105 metres averaging 7.67 grams gold and 52.5 grams silver), whereas the latter was collared from the same platform as hole 84 (126 metres averaging 2.66 grams gold and 22.77 grams silver) but was drilled in a southeasterly direction.
At Amable North, two holes have been completed with assays pending. Hole 118 was collared 50 metres east of hole 111 (87 metres averaging 0.61 gram gold and 15.29 grams silver), and hole 114 was collared 50 metres south of hole 100 (91 metres of 1.15 grams gold and 11.7 grams silver).
