Anvil wastes no time at Faro

In its first-quarter report, Anvil Range Mining (TSE) states that waste removal work at the Grum deposit on the Faro zinc-lead property in the Yukon is continuing ahead of schedule and below the projected cash cost of $1.39 per tonne.

In just over two months, the company stripped more than 5.5 million tonnes of waste material, and it hopes to have 22.5 million tonnes removed over the next 8-10 months.

In addition, the company expects the first shipment of concentrate to its Asian and European customers to occur by the end of October.
