Trenching on the Lady Lina gold property in Zimbabwe has uncovered oxide mineralization over a strike length of 110 metres.
Antares Mining & Exploration (TSE) completed five trenches in an effort to test for mineralization overlying the Black Cat sulphide zone. Assays ranged between 1.09 and 3.18 grams gold per tonne over widths varying from 15 to 35 metres.
The Black Cat zone now has an inferred resource of 200,000 tonnes averaging 2 grams per tonne.
During the fiscal quarter ended April 30, Antares completed 736 metres of underground development at Lady Lina, along with 3,988 metres of surface drilling and 938 metres of underground drilling. Underground reserves and resources rose to 2.87 million from 2.39 million oz. at the end of January.
