Drill results from the Los Pedregones concession in the Dominican Republic are confirming an epithermal gold-silver mineralized system.
Energold Mining (VSE) carried out the initial 7-hole program on the eastern portion of the Palo prospect. The 200-by-200-metre alteration zone was to depths of 45-117.5 metres. Intersections ranging from 41.4 to 71.9 metres averaged about 0.3 gram gold and 5 grams silver per tonne; higher-grade intercepts included 15.7 metres grading 1.05 grams gold and 4.88 grams silver for hole 4, and 3 metres grading 3.92 grams gold and 14.73 grams silver for hole 2.
Plans call for mapping, geophysical surveying and further drilling.
Energold holds the right to acquire a 100% interest in the Dominican company Minera Hispaniola, which holds, or has applied for, six exploration concessions in the country.
