Anglo plans new gold mine

A new gold mine will be developed by Anglo American Corp. in South Africa in the Moab area in the Orange Free State.

The company said operations are scheduled to be under way in 1997. A 25-year life is projected for the mine, with annual output of 400,000 oz. gold. The gold mineralization is reported to extend more than two miles below surface.
