Toronto-based AMT International Mining (AAI-T) is attempting to outline economic copper mineralization at its Old Reliable deposit, near Tuscon, Ariz.
A drill program at the deposit, which occupies the Copper Creek property, has returned encouraging results, including: 70 ft. grading 2% copper; 180 ft. of 1.6% copper; and 290 ft. of 1.5% copper. The deposit, which is amenable to open-pit mining, remains open at depth.
Meanwhile, drilling at the Creek breccia system identified a zone of deeper mineralization. Highlights from that program include: 380 ft. of 2% copper and 160 ft. of 2.9% copper; 200 ft. of 2.3% copper; 139 ft. of 2.8% copper; and 80 ft. of 1.6% copper.
AMT holds a half interest in the property through a joint venture with BHP and can buy an additional 25% stake upon delivery of a feasibility study.
