Amera targets Mogote

Vancouver A trenching program by newly minted Amera Resources (AMS-V) has confirmed the occurrence of extensive mineralization on the Mogote gold-copper project northwest Argentina.

Located in San Juan province, the project lies 18 km west of El Morro, in an area considered the southern extension of the Maricunga gold belt. Trench I exposed 500 metres of mineralization at the Filo Este target. This trench returned 0.33 grams gold, 2.3 grams silver per tonne and 0.2% copper over 510 metres. A higher grade section ran 0.44 gram gold, 1.6 gram silver and 0.22% copper over 180 metres.

Mineralization occurs mainly as oxides, sulphates and carbonates in dacite breccias and diorite intrusive rocks.

Based on geophysical surveys, the Filo Este target measures 800 metres by 1.5 km. The survey also identified a second 1.4 sq km magnetic anomaly. Limited trenching over this area returned up to 85 metres averaging 0.11 gram gold, 1.1 gram silver and 0.19 % copper.

Amera is in the midst of planning a first bout of drilling over the project.
