The seventh annual Distinguished Service Award was recently presented to George Atwood by the American Mining Congress (AMC). Atwood is often cited for his business leadership and outstanding work in hydrometallurgical processing technology.
He joined Dual Corp. in 1950 as a refinery superintendent and rose through the ranks to become president in 1972 and chairman and chief executive officer in 1977.
