All assays are in from phase one of Fury Explorations‘ (FUR-V) drill program at its Guijoso property in Jalisco State, Mexico.
In total, 13 diamond drill holes for 2,017 metres were drilled along a 2-km strike length composed of a vein system.
Highlights included:
- Hole DDH-010: 6.5 metres grading 216.8 grams silver and 0.247 grams gold, including 1 metre grading 1,260 grams silver and 1.325 grams gold.
- Hole DDH-012: 8 metres grading 106.2 grams silver and 0.02 grams gold, including 5 metres grading 148.4 grams silver and 0.028 grams gold.
Results from drilling show that the vein system is not always a discrete vein and is commonly associated with clay rich shears and zones of fine veinlets over considerable thicknesses.
A follow-up program of concentrated reverse circulation drilling to expand outlined zones delineated by the drilling and surface sampling is being considered by the Vancouver-based company.
Additionally, the company is looking for more targets on its wholly owned 50.8 sq. km property by way of reconnaissance, mapping and soil sampling.
Fury’s aim is to become a near-term, unhedged silver producer. Its flagship property is the Taylor project in Nevada which is slated to go into commercial production in the first quarter of 2009.
In Toronto on Feb. 14 Fury’s shares were up 1 to 66 on 90,000 shares. The company has 28.3 million shares outstanding and $3.6 million in working capital.
