Another round of encouraging assays from the Bellas Gate property in Jamaica pushed Trev Corp up a penny to 20 cents for the week ended March 31.

Results include 320 ft. grading 0.46% copper and 0.005 oz. gold per ton from the Conners deposit and 730 ft. grading 0.48% copper and 0.006 oz. gold from the Camel Hill deposit. Vancouver-based Golden Ring Resources is earning a 100% interest in Bellas Gate from Trev.

Also ahead by a penny, Manchester Resources has launched a 2,500-ft. drill program on the Santoy Lake gold property in northern Saskatchewan, six miles east of the Seabee mine.

In a 50-50 joint venture with Claude Resources, Manchester will test two gold zones that returned average grades of up to 0.51 oz. gold per ton over 10.8 ft. in trench samples. The partners plan to complete the program by spring breakup. Manchester closed at 49 cents.

Micron Metals almost doubled in price to 67 cents as management anticipated shareholder approval for the company’s plan to purchase a video business. The acquisition would signal an end to Micron’s involvement in the mining industry.

After doubling to 52 cents, Argus Resources shed 6 cents on the week to close at 46 cents. The company holds a block of ground in the Lac de Gras area of the Northwest Territories where Dia Met Minerals recently discovered a diamond-bearing kimberlite pipe.
