Wednesday close, Oct 8 Trading on the Alberta exchange this week again nosed below the previo us week’s trading level, with just 4,465,900 shares changing hands.
Conquest Yellowknife Resources, which was a big mover last week, trading 105,900 shares and gaining 29 cents in that session, in the latest period traded over 217,000 shares and moved up another 26 cents to close at $2.20. While we’ve seen no hard news on current activity, the company holds some 260 mining claims in northwestern Ontario, north of Wawa, and not too far from Renabie Gold Mines.
Sweany Gold led the board in volume, trading 526,800 shares and gaining 1 cents to close on the week at 20 cents . This company has claims groups nort h of Ontario’s Beardmore area.
Mastt Resources, a relatively new listing on the Alberta exchange, (July of this year), was another active issue, trading 112,700 shares and gaining 10 cents to 45 cents . Mastt has gold properties in the Cariboo mining division of British Columbia, as well as placer leases in that region.
Yukon Minerals was unchanged at 60 cents in light trading. Yukon has done some drilling on a silver discovery near Rancheria, Yukon, and plans further drilling, in the 1987 season.
Easing up 3 cents to 63 cents was Royal Oak Resources, which holds properties in Ontario, at Geraldton and near Kenora, and recently raised over $425,000 in a rights offering.
Newly-listed on the exchange is Hidden Valley Mines, which closed on the week at 57 cents in light trading.
