Aker Kvaerner drops the Kvaerner, picks up Solutions

Development and engineer services provider Aker Kvaerner has changed its name to Aker Solutions.

Aker Solutions hopes the new brand identity will embody the company’s “drive to move forward.”

The name “represents a simplification and strengthening of our corporate identity and outlines our offering of comprehensive industrial solutions,” said Simen Lieungh, president and CEO during Aker’s last annual general meeting.

The company’s new logo was developed by Oslo-based Dinamo Design.

Aker Solutions has been working in the engineering and construction field for more than 150 years. The company serves several industries, including oil and gas, refining and chemicals, power generation and mining and metals.
