Surface drilling is under way on the San Bartolome mine property in Ecuador.
Ag Armeno Mines & Resources (VSE) plans an initial 10,000 ft. of drilling, including 25 holes to test to the west and north of the present mine workings. The company has also bought an underground diamond drill rig which will provide mine planners with detailed information on the mine’s complex mineral system.
The San Bartolome mine is operating at 110 tons per day and head grades are averaging 18 oz. silver per ton.
