AFRICA SPECIAL — NEWS ROUNDUP — IBI acquires Ghanaian project

Toronto-based IBI Corporation (IBIC-C) has signed an agreement to acquire a private Ontario company that holds 77% of a gold project in Ghana, West Africa.

Based on the results of a feasibility study by Minproc Engineering, the property’s proven reserves will allow for production at an annual rate of 10,000 oz. per year for eight years. IBI notes that current reserves can be increased by further exploration of identified alluvial and hard-rock vein structures on the property. The land package comprises 49.95 sq. km in the Osino area of central Ghana.
