AFRICA — Melkior, Trillion busy in Republic of Congo

In partnership with state-owned mining company Gecamines, Trillion Resources (TLQ-T) and Melkior Resources (MKR-M) will continue exploring the Likasi property in the copper belt of the Democratic Republic of Congo.

The juniors have the right to explore for new mineral deposits on a land package covering more than 2,800 sq. km. In addition to the new exploration on Likasi, there are 11 known, but underexplored, copper-cobalt prospects on the property, some of which contain copper-cobalt resources. Gecamines can elect to have the juniors undertake feasibility and development of one or more of these prospects.

The proposed 2-year exploration budget for Likasi is a minimum US$2.7 million. The juniors intend to use new exploration technology in the search for new mineral deposits.
