Afri-Can samples alluvials

Junior Afri-Can Marine Minerals (AFA-V) has hired the marine unit of De Beers Consolidated Mines to test several possibly diamond-bearing features off the coast of Namibia.

Seventeen features outlined in a previous geophysical survey will be tested. At least 250 samples will be extracted in all, for an average of 12 samples per target.

The Block J concession covers 994 sq. km of seafloor at depths of 70-167 metres. It lies 105 km north of Luderitz Bay.
