Hole RS-213, drilled to 796 ft at a dip of –68 degrees in the interval 220-234 ft, returned 14 ft of 0.14 oz gold per ton, and in the interval 700.2-704 ft cut 3.8 ft of 3.31 oz in what appears to be a different zone, the companies say, from that encountered in the 220-ft level of the hole. Other sections in the hole returned grades varying from 0.05 oz to 0.11 oz.
The companies report a further $1.5-million exploration program to test the discovery areas and areas other than the No 2 shaft which has been explored by underground drifting and drilling, has been recommended. During 1988, property exploration expenses of $2.4 million were incurred.
The zones are located about 2,000 ft southwest of Shaft No 1, which could be used to gain access to the new zones, the companies say.
