Aber moves second rig into Sunrise

Exploration work is being accelerated at the Sunrise Lake project of Aber Resources (VSE) and Hemisphere Development Corp. (VSE) in the Northwest Territories. A second drill has been added to outline sufficient reserves for an underground program later this year. A minimum budget of $1.5 million has been approved for the balance of 1988 with further expenditures depending on results, the joint venture states.

At last report, reserves on the property were 1.8 million tons grading 14.4 oz silver, 10% zinc, 4.2% lead and 0.023 oz gold. In a recent news release the company said the grade represented a 0.64-oz gold equivalent.
