Abbey encouraged by drill results

An intersection of 0.19 oz gold per ton over 14.9 ft was reported by Abbey Exploration (TSE) and its two partners from hole 88-4 on property in Guyanne Twp., in northwestern Quebec.

Abbey’s joint-venture partners are Golden Rock Explorations (ME) and Golden Tiger Mining Exploration (ME).

A second hole, 88-5, located 1,600 ft distant, returned 0.3 oz over 1.7 ft, along with anomalous values.

Abbey is earning a 75% interest in both the Golden Rock and Golden Tiger properties through a total expenditure of $550,000.

In other news, encouraging drill results were recently released from property in Baird Twp., in northwestern Ontario, near Red Lake, in which Abbey is earning a 25% interest. Abbey’s partners in the project are United Reef Petroleums (TSE) and Canhorn Mining (TSE). Drilling is to resume later this month on the property, with two rigs in service.
