A working option has been obtained by Dawson Eldorado Mines to

of the Caribou mineral lease in its Keno project in the Mayo mining district of the Yukon Territory. The company has the right to mine a 5-ft-wide vein that was discovered during this summer’s exploration work. The vein has a one-foot-wide section assaying in excess of 250 oz silver per ton. A bulk sample is being sacked for shipment to the Cominco smelter at Trail.

On the Plata-Inca property, production has been suspended after this year’s shipment of 200 tons of silver-lead ore. The discontinuity of the veins and pods necessitates a major exploration program to establish reserves for orderly and cost- efficient mining, the company says.
