“Why,” asks a thoughtful subscriber, “do not Canadian banks employ mining engineers?”
Why not, indeed? Perhaps some of them do, although the fact is not publicized. However, employment of experts in mining would be a logical procedure for our banks, in view of the important position of the industry in the Canadian economy. Besides, there are several channels in which engineers would be useful to banks, which have investment troubles the same as other industries.
