50 Years Ago — September, 1937 — GRANBY COPPER SHIPMENTS TO

The shipment of copper concentrate to Japan by Granby Consolidated Co. has ceased, at least temporarily, as a consequence of the Sino-Japanese conflict. Japanese vessels which, under the terms of the company’s 3-year contracts were to transport the concentrate to Japan have been commandeered by the Imperial government to carry war materials and soldiers to China.
