50 Years Ago — September, 1937 — FRANCOEUR NEARING ZONE ON SECOND

There were indications early this week that the crosscut at the second level of Francoeur in the new shaft area had entered the ore zone. It is possible that the “A” oreshoot, which entered the shaft area at the first level, has been cut, but it will be some days yet before complete returns are available on the development. Should the second level in the new shaft area develop as favorably as the first, milling plans are expected to be carried out. Reprinted from The Northern Miner, September, 1937
