Important gold values accompany the high-grade copper in Waite Amulet’s new drill-indicated orebody, The Northern Miner can announce. In vertical hole No. 3, the 165-ft section ran 0.07 oz gold, or $2.45 per ton, in addition to 8.9% copper and about 5% in zinc.
The gross value of the intersection, therefore, taking copper at 8.5 cents per lb works out to $17.58 per ton. Higher in hole No. 3, a 15-ft section at 800-ft depth ran 1.8% copper and 15% zinc. Reprinted from The Northern Miner, May, 1938.
