50 YEARS AGO –MARCH, 1937– KERR-ADDISON SPARK SETS LARDER LAKE

A swarm of prospectors, stakers, merchants and promoters have invaded the Larder Lake district of Ontario where Canada’s latest gold boom has been precipitated by sudden disclosure of important ore on the Kerr-Addison property. When The Northern Miner visited the area this week, claim deals were being made thick and fast and a host of new companies are in process of formation.

The revelation that the dolomites or carbonate zones of the district can harbor gold orebodies has set everybody paging through old reports and scurrying into the bush for claims. Reprinted from The Northern Miner, March, 1937.
