A new gold find has been made by Flavrian Lake Gold Mines in Duprat township, Que., The Northern Miner is informed. First character samples of well mineralized rhyolite assayed $7.35 and $11.55 per ton. The rock panned well and two rusty seams about three inches wide returned impressive gold pannings. The discovery has just been reported by L. Turcotte, company prospector, and systematic sampling has not been carried out yet. Reprinted from The Northern Miner, June 1937.
