In order to prove or disprove the bare possibility that a second sill exists below the one recently driven through, Northern Empire will diamond-drill vertically below the 1,700-ft horizon as soon as preparation can be made at this level. If the diamond-drilling gives the “all-clear” signal, Northern Empire will prepare for a campaign of really deep mining.
