50 Years Ago –JANUARY, 1937– LEITCH GOLD MOVES INTO PRODUCTION

The first of the 1937 crop of gold producers in Canada made its bow on January 10 with the turning over of the new mill at the Leitch Gold Mines property, pioneer operator of the new Beardmore-Sand River area.

Designed for a capacity of 75 tons daily, the mill will operate for a short time on a 50-ton basis but can be stepped up to 100 tons daily with a slight additional expense. Reprinted from The Northern Miner, January, 1937.
