The main orebody at East Malartic Mines is shaping up into one of the major gold deposits in the country, judging by results of testing on the first three levels.
Calculations show that the orebody makes well over 3,000 tons per foot depth already, The Northern Miner has learned after visiting the Quebec property last week. And as the body is much wider and longer on the third level than on the second or first, with no diminution of grade, it looks like reserves might become even greater.
