Though the three new Macassa levels below 3,000 ft are far from being fully developed, there is now little doubt that each of them will be at least the equal of the 3,000-ft level that surpassed any horizon above. The new levels, at 3,125, 3,250 and 3,375 ft have now been under development for 11 months; and during that time, ore disclosures have come so rapidly that it is quite possible that they now contain about two-thirds of the mine’s present ore reserves — reserves of more than 300,000 tons.
