The Cariboo district of British Columbia, famous for its colorful and prosperous gold rush in the middle of the last century, now seems to be entering a new period of mining activity. But whereas the old-timers recovered, by crude methods, million of dollars worth of gold from the streams, in placer deposits, the greatest possibilities of the district are now seen as lode mining.
