50 YEARS AGO –APRIL, 1937– QUEBEC TRYING TO APE MEXICO?

Deep indignation, and talk of reprisals, has been aroused in Ontario over Bill No. 5 which has received its third reading in the Quebec legislature and which may be proclaimed law on Friday of this week.

This bill declares that no corporation, unless it is solely constituted under a Quebec charter, can acquire any right to mine any natural resources of Quebec. Reprinted from The Northern Miner, April, 1937.
