The more it drills the Windfall gold project in the Abitibi Greenstone Belt of Quebec, the more high grade results Osisko Mining (TSC:OSK) reports from the work. The latest uncut high grade was 342 grams gold per tonne over 2.5 metres, including 596 grams over 0.8 metre, from hole OSK-W-1432-W2. Even after being cut to 100 grams, the grade was 71.1 grams gold.

Current infill drilling is focused on resource blocks in the Lynx deposit. The company received results recently for 80 intercepts in 21 drill holes and 26 wedges. Select uncut intersects include 37.7 grams gold over 7.2 metres; 56.4 grams over 4.0 metres, 18.3 grams over 5.5 metres and 45.3 grams over 2.1 metres; 79.8 grams over 2.4 metres; 63.8 grams over 2.4 metres; 36.0 grams over 2.7 metres; 42.2 grams over 2.0 metres; and 21.1 grams over 4.0 metres.

Earlier this month Osisko upgraded the Windfall resource estimate. Using a cut-off grade of 3.50 grams gold per tonne, the Lynx deposit has measured and indicated resources of 6.0 million tonnes grading 9.6 grams gold and 5.9 grams silver for a contained total of almost 1.9 million oz. gold and 16.4 million oz. silver. The inferred portion totals 16.4 tonnes at 8.0 grams gold and 2.7 grams silver for 4.2 million oz. gold and 1.4 million oz. silver.

There are three other zones at the property. The Underdog and Main deposits have only indicated and inferred resource, and the Triple 8 has only an inferred tonnage.
