Quebec Precious Metals (TSXV: CJC; US-OTC: CJCFF) is aiming to discover Quebec’s next gold mine in the James Bay region, possibly at its flagship Sakami project, CEO Normand Champigny says.
Sakami, where the company has drilled more than 50,000 metres, boasts high gold grades and recoveries, and has the potential for multi-million ounce deposits, the CEO said in a new video at the Canadian Mining Symposium in London in October. The explorer is also targeting lithium both at Sakami and further south at its Elmer East project.
On the ESG front, the explorer hires Crees on its exploration teams and is mindful of their trapping, fishing and hunting rights in the region, Champigny said in an interview with The Northern Miner podcast host Adrian Pocobelli.
