Harte Gold (TSX: HRT; US-OTC: HRTFF) says it has found a new mineralized zone at its Sugar project, 80 km east of the Hemlo gold camp.
Drilling in the new Fox zone — discovered 700 metres northwest of the Wolf Zone — returned a 3.30- metre intercept grading 1.59 grams gold per tonne from 441.90 metres downhole in drill hole WZ-18-166.
The company says it will continue drilling below WZ-18-166 to test mineralization down dip.
The discovery of the Fox zone now extends the strike length of the Sugar zone mine and on-strike deposits to 5 km.
The company plans to complete a resource update in the fourth quarter of the year that will incorporate drilling results through the end of October 2018.
The updated resource will include the recently discovered Footwall Zone and an initial resource estimate for the Wolf Zone, as well as upgrades from the inferred to indicated category in the Sugar and Middle Zones.
Other drill results released today feature a 10.66 metre-intercept in the Wolf Zone grading 3.83 grams gold from 864.34 metres downhole, including 6.91 metres of 5.41 grams gold and 2.66 metres of 11.88 grams gold.
Infill drilling in the Middle Zone below the current indicated resource on the north side of the deposit returned 6.17 metres of 6.15 grams gold starting from 1029.37 metres downhole, including 29.40 grams gold over 0.73 metre from 1030.37 downhole, while infill drilling below the Sugar Zone North Ramp returned 12.89 grams over 2.28 metres from 732.03 downhole.
