Fasken Martineau named mining law firm of the year

Fasken Martineau has been named Global Mining Law Firm of the Year for 2016 by Who’s Who Legal, a London-based legal news and information service.

The win represents the eighth time Fasken has earned the distinction, which is more than any other firm.

“This win showcases the comprehensive range of legal services the Global Mining Group provides our clients globally, and we are pleased to share this award with them,” partner and practice group leader for Fasken Martineau’s Global Mining Group John Turner said.

In April the firm announced a new partner, Brian Graves, to its Global Mining Group. Graves specializes in advising on mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and commercial and securities law related to cross-border transactions, and clients in the mining sector.

Fasken Martineau has a roster of more than 700 lawyers, and offices in Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, Quebec City, London and Johannesburg.
