Suppliers news: Superior Industries to take over Clemro Western

Superior Industries, a major Minnesota-based manufacturer and  bulk-material handling system, has entered into an agreement to acquire Clemro Western, a Calgary-based company  that makes crushing and screening equipment for customers in Canada, the U.S. and South America.

Superior says the pending acquisition will help Superior increase its bulk-handling product portfolio for its customers in aggregate and mining production.

Clemro Western was founded in 1981 by Ralph Fasoli and specialized in producing cone and jaw crushers, horizontal and incline screens, and belt feeders. In 2008 Fasoli passed day-to-day operations of the company’s two plants to his son, Emmanuel, who keeps that role today.

Superior Industries engineers and manufactures groundbreaking, bulk-handling equipment and components, and supplies bulk-washing and classifying systems, stacking and transfer conveyors, feed systems, and ship and barge-loading equipment. The firm also makes related components, including conveyor idlers, pulleys and accessories, and replacement parts for washing and classifying equipment. The 43-year-old company is headquartered in Morris, Minn., and has plants in Arizona, Georgia and Nebraska.
