Map Tent (November 10, 2008)

The Mineral Exploration Roundup is pleased to be running the Map Tent for the third year, making it, along with Core Shack, an ongoing and integral part of the technical foundation of Roundup. Map Tent will provide Roundup participants with a first-hand opportunity to review working maps and sections, be they geology, geochemistry, or geophysics, spanning from generative exploration projects to mine development projects. The purpose is to provide a venue for open peer discussion among explorationists, giving Roundup participants the chance to gain insights beyond those attainable from standard trade show exhibits or material posted on websites.

This year, the Map Tent will continue its profile of the resurgence in copper porphyry exploration and development in British Columbia, and profile the recent increase in bulk commodities in the junior exploration sector.

The Map Tent will run the length of Roundup, from Monday, January 26 to Thursday, January 29, 2009. The schedule is as follows:

Monday, January 26 BC porphyry copper exploration and development projects.

Tuesday, January 27 Coal discovery and development projects from across Canada.

Wednesday, January 28 Potash exploration and development projects in North America and around the world.

Thursday, January 29 Iron Ore projects in Canada and around the world.

The Map Tent is open from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm daily.
